An Important Private Collection, professionally stored since purchase. Lots 1-472 Côte de Nuits Joseph Drouhin, Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, 2016 (12 x 750ml) Region: Côte de Nuits Packaging: original wooden case WOFW 94/100. Ruby and violet hue. A light white-pepper exoticism from the whole-bunch fermentation (50%), but no astringency from the stems, even at this early stage, on the palate, which is supremely silky. It appears to lack a little core density, but that may come, even if it seems likely to remain a wine of pedigree rather than power.
