The map of the German astronomer and geographer Georg Moritz Lowitz (1722-1774) shows the eclipse of the 25th century. ==References== The engraving shows four hemispheres of the Earth, which were created by the Swiss astronomer Leonhard Euler on the basis of solar and lunar tables. These tables enabled Euler to accurately predict the course of the solar eclipse. According to his calculations, the totality strip (or shadow corridor) crossed Scotland, Northern Germany, Berlin and Romania and extended to Turkey.
