Reitzel, 1846. Schlenker 264. – The only German edition (published in Danish in 1843). Paulsen (1789-1846) was actually an officer, but he also dealt intensively with questions of ornithology. Part II should contain "a brief description of the species we find, more than a guide to the more specific knowledge of the birds". – Title with ownership note "E. Rostrup 1846.", possibly the well-known Danish biologist and botanist Frederik Emil Georg Rostruff (1831 - 1907), however, he would have acquired the book at the age of 15. Shot-through specimen with numerous annotations also in the text, probably from Rostrup. Slightly tanned. Preface with corner section.
