Not with MNE. – Important document for the foundation (1790) and the first beginnings of this oldest botanical society in the world, which still exists today. In addition to the "Plan and Laws of the Society" and a list of honorary members, it contains the opening speech of the first Pres. Okay. In 1790, Charles Jeunet Duval's closing speech (1751-1828). The other contributions are of a scientific nature: David Heinrich Hoppe (1760-1846) "Ueber die Geschlechttheile der Pflanzen", Ernst Wilhelm Martius (1756-1849) "Abschiedsrede, abgebt einen Abhandlung über den Werth eines Systematischen Pflanzekenntnississe" (Abschievement, a treatise on the value of a systematic plant knowledge) and Franz von Paula Schrank (1747-1835) "Notes on the plants sent to the botanical society". The 18 botanical discussion descriptions of Duval, Hoppe and Martius (p. 118-237) are also interesting. In addition, the volume contains the idyll "Die Pflanzen" by the Braunschweig writer Ludwig Giseke (1756-1832). With register as well as plant directory. – Slightly patchy.
