The mathematician and astronomer Johann Henrich Voigt (1613-1691) from Rudolstadt was a school teacher in Rethwisch near Itzehoe from 1641 and then went via Glückstadt to Stade, where he took up a position as a schoolmaster. From 1650 he produced various calendars of years with different titles, in which he also described his own comet phenomena.
