W. von Bühler (1797-1859) was one of the first to present a route planning for a railway from Stuttgart to Ulm as Ulm district councillor. However, when he could not prevail with his project, he devoted himself to other questions as a superstructure council member in the Ministry of the Interior. In this work he draws on his 25 years of experience in sponge formation, which he deals with in both botanical and technical aspects. In conclusion, he responds to investigations by other writers, including J. J. Salberg, D. G. Huth, H. L. Manger, D. Gilly, W. G. Bleechrodt u. M. H. G. Tölken. – A little finger- and brown-spotted.
