Ornamental Stichslg Berlin 1320 (EA, however, only the first 12 issues with 72 Taf.). – The first part of the extensive work (issues 1 to 22 with 131 plates) was published from 1827 to 1830 in deliveries, part 2 with its own title "Die Combinations- und Sicherheits-Schlösser von der ältesten bis die auszeitigen Zeit" and a preface by J. G. Altmütter followed in 1831 to 1834. This complete edition was published in 1835 and is likely to be one of the most extensive sample books on the subject of castle and locksmithy. In addition to locks and keys, cash cassettes, fittings, various lattices, lantern beams, grave crosses, spindle presses, ovens, spiral staircases and roasters, including one with wind turbine drive (!; Taf. 113) and partly explained in detail. "With the drawings the locksmiths and smiths should obtain 'the knowledge of mechanics'. His sources were Dingler's Polytechnic Journal ... English patent specifications, journals ... as well as products in trade from Austria and Saxony, but also from Rhineland and Westphalia ...
