The "respected scientific writer" (Karmarsch) G. E. Rosenthal (1745-1814), who was actually a baker in Nordhausen, has published various meteorological publications and also dealt with the development of thermometers and other devices. He also has the work "The Natural Magic" by J. C. Wigleb and J. K. G. Jacobsson's "Technological Dictionary" continued. To the latter he also compiled an extensive bibliography, the "Litterature of Technology". In this essay, he presents the invention of the tin foundry master Edler, a less "coal attenuating" tin caster wind furnace. – Carefully cleaned specimen.
