Wieck (1800-1860) describes the Saxon industry with a focus on mechanical engineering and, above all, the textile industry before the opening of the exhibition. However, he also deals with wood products, musical instruments, papermaking and printing. The added "colour printing, namely the art, of any drawing in black outline and black shade, by means of which the press in Oel gives the corresponding natural colours" seems to be a combination of wood engraving and coloured lithographic clay plates. Also interesting in terms of printing is the title, which reproduces a fine textile pattern in a frame as a background. – Slightly tanned, weak water edge.
