Interesting collection by Italian jurist Guido Pancirolli (1523-1599) on scientific, geographical and cultural history achievements. Treats porcelain, clocks, typography, paper, music, alchemy, beverages, libraries, ancient shipping, secret writings, etc. With a detailed description of America on 64 pages (cf. Sabin XIV, 58412). The copper title with an allegorical representation of the Old and the New World, as well as the interior of a printer workshop. The first print appeared posthumously from 1599 to 1602 in Frankfurt and Amberg. – Weak brown stained, otherwise well preserved.
