Wentzel in Weißenburg (Elsass). Around 1880. The lithographs were made by either Jean Frédéric Wentzel (1807-1869) or his father Philippe FréDéric Wentzel. The first in his French birth town Weißenburg founded an important printing and lithography workshop. The tables show beside a young woman, a child who tries to teach his dog a feat, a young couple of lovers who seem to come closer and enjoy the time together on an idyllic lakeside and finally three girls who are supposed to fish in a beautiful park. Below the illustration, the lithographs are titled in French, German and English. – Prints with a broad margin made with careful contemporary color. In the edge a little dusty and sticky, partly with small cracks.
