RSchild. ==References== A copy of an extensive lecture transcript from the Prussian Military Academy, based on the remarks of the General Staff Major, lecturers at the Berlin War School and adjutants of Scharnhorst, Carl Ludwig Heinrich von Tiedemann (1778-1812). "In this capacity, he was one of the officers who taught Scharnhorst in the war sciences in Berlin since 1801. He was one of the Master's favorite students. ==References== On March 1, 1802, Tiedemann presented the king with the best of the drafts submitted by his listeners, which were among them" (ADB XXXVIII, 280f). Tiedemann's strategic-war-tactical writings were taught in the Prussian military schools, but probably not codified until 1820. Of this version, however, only hectographed, autographed or lithographed manuscripts can be detected for service use, mostly under the title "Lectures on the Tactic, edited by an officer of the General Staabes". The introduction begins with a quote from Carl von Clausewitz (1780-1831): "War is the state in which states find themselves when they use the means of achieving their intentions in relation to other states that offer them their power and the power they can have [...]" (p. 1). War thus becomes a legal, legitimate and logical-consistent continuation of the relationship between states. If negotiations do not continue, the maximum physical violence is at the disposal of the more powerful, o tempora o mores! – Very clean and fresh, hardly any traces of use, block slightly untied, few layers solved, very nice specimen from the library of Prince Adalbert of Prussia (1811-1873) with its crowned exlibris on the front interior mirror.
