Gerhardt (1735-1805) was the main Banco accountant in Berlin and had published a "Handbuch der teutschen Münz-, Maaß- und Gewichtkunde" in 1788. This work has been extended to include the non-German-speaking regions of Europe in Part 1 and the overseas regions in Part 2. The historical comments, however, were probably shortened. The second part also contains an extensive table part from page 125 – partly slightly tanned and with brown moisture traces. Last leaf brownish at the upper edge. Purpose with contemporary entry.
