Christoph Sandler is best known for his "Deutsche Handels-Adressbücher". In addition to the present industrial lexicon, he also published one for the provinces of Berlin and Brandenburg in 1876, and one for Saxony. On the basis of the administrative districts he lists all known factories, mostly with indication of the founding year as well as the founders and owners.
