Exceptionally rare, magnificently crafted sample catalogue of the famous Meißner porcelain manufacture, which produced only a few of these catalogues for its imperial, royal and highly noble customers. The catalogues were produced in the in-house printing house and were specially coloured by the porcelain painters, so that the designs were largely identical with the samples then executed. Only very few of these sample books can be detected worldwide. The present volume "Indian Patterns" has never appeared at all. The magnificent panels show plates with exotic patterns, with dragons, panthers, lions and gazelles, stylized flowers, sea monsters, birds, but also with abstract, floral, geometric ornaments and much, much more, than allusions of Asian, here sprecially Indian decor. Among the illustrations the article number and the title of the decorative plate as well as further information about colors etc. – uncut, slightly stick- and finger-spotty as well occasionally slightly kink-spury and with small wormholes. With particularly beautiful color. Rare.
