The woodcut shows a steam train in front of wooded mountains under red evening sky. The first railway line Kobes - the Minoo Arima Railway - started operation in 1910. The district of Ikuta-machi in the west of Kobe, known by the Shinto shrine of the same name, was considered a popular destination for the foreign community.
