The second part of the extensive description from the pen of the Portuguese writer, researcher and dealer Gabriel Soares de Sousa (1540-1591), who as a seafarer and colonist wrote his "Notícia do Brasil" as one of the first detailed and largely reliable reports on the fauna, flora and ethnology of the people of Brazil.
