(berieben) with cord binding (17 x 26 cm) as well as OLEinenalbung (berien und beschmacken) with screw binding (33 x 26cm). Japan c. 1910-1940. Collection with mainly portrait, family and group photographs, including men in uniform as well as some wedding couples. The smaller album with about 130 small-format photographs, including numerous portraits of women, men and children in traditional and western clothing as well as group recordings, partly with handwritten Japanese inscriptions and datings. The larger album with about 100, partly large-format recordings, including studio, family and wedding portraits, school and cadet recordings as well as scenes from the family and everyday life, for example at the board game. Photographs in different conservation, partly with fadings, hardenings and minor marginal defects. Quite isolated with flaws or demolitions, partly also in the representation.
