To the right of the picture one sees a tower of Castel Nuovo, on the left the pretty rows of houses of Lungomare di Napoli. En face the majestic view of the mountain range and in the foreground the smoking crater of Vesuvius rising from Monte Somma. The numerous staffage figures on the pier in the foreground, the barques, fishing boats and sailing ships that are lost in the horizon are also particularly beautiful. – Image carriers slightly wavy, but hardly stained or tanned. Hardly any signs of wear, hardly any spots. Very decorative gouache in bright and fresh colors. Also remarkable is the gilded wooden frame, which shows a schitzwerk of reliefed margarites on Riefelgrund, surrounded by Kymation-Bordüre in the outer edge. Not framed, shipping only without frame.
