The appendix receives the explanation of the copper engravings: "We have chosen Scenen from the stories of the popular writers Washington Irving and Cooper as the decoration of this year's pocket calendar. The title copper, like the first and second copper, belong to Washington Irving's 'Columbus', the third and fourth Cooper's' 'Border residents', and the fifth to Cooper 's 'Steppe' and the sixth finally to Washington's ‘Talkings of a Traveler'" (page 1). – Paper browned, slightly loose in binding, partly brown- and finger-spotted and with few colorations on the white Leaves.
