"Finally Struve also deserve to be mentioned in the depictions of German history. As a precursor, a smaller manual was first published under the title 'Syntagma historiae Germanicae' (Jena 1716), which was also translated into German by Zschackwitz. In the course of a decade and more, a larger and more comprehensive textbook developed from this in two volumes: 'Corpus historiae Germanicae' (Jena 1730). In the year after the publication of this book, Struve also published a German adaptation of it under the title: 'Complete teusche Reichsgeschichte' (2 volumes, Jena 1732), after he had already published a 'Introduction to teuche Reichs histories' (2 books, Jena 1724) in 1724.
