Extensive sequence of the well-known Suhrschen city views, one of the most beautiful Hamburgensien, "cultural history and topographically interesting" (Thieme-Becker). The beautiful old coloured depictions with numerous partial views of the city and its surroundings, including such well-known motifs as Alter und Neuer Jungfernstieg, Alster, Lombardsbrücke, St. Jakobi, St Peter, St Katharinen, Domkirche, Dammtor, Millerntor, Alte Börse, Rödingsmarkt, Views of the Great Brand 1842, Esplanade, English Church, Hospital St. Georg, Elbe in winter, view of the Elbe with Süllberg etc. Especially impressive are the numerous panels that show the big city fires. Since the work appeared in deliveries, it is again and again about other compilations, most copies are completely equipped with 77 plates, even if Suhr repeatedly delivered tables, so that probably a little more than 90 appeared. – The magnificent plates almost continuously clean, in places with small moisture margins, few plates also slightly tanned. Throughout hs. numbered and with pencil signature. Interior mirror with exlibris.
