It was decided by Elector Friedrich Wilhelm (the "Great Elector") and the Brandenburg Landstands. This historic agreement marks the decisive turning point from the state in power to absolutism and laid the foundation for the rise of Prussia to the European great power, since the states had assured the elector the not insignificant tax sum of 530,000 thalers against the confirmation of their privileges. With this sum, which can be paid for over five years, Friedrich Wilhelm was able to build one of the strongest armies on the continent and leave his successor a powerful apparatus, which ultimately made the way to the imperial crown of William I in 1871 possible. This is a copy of a file with hs. Notary seals and the copy of the signatures of the Grand Elector, as well as other related files, which date back to the 19th century. ==References== First, the extensive manuscript contains the complete state parliament recession, the official final document of the Brandenburg State Congress.
