The watch is an absolute rarity and probably a commissioned work for the Russian Empire. Similar pieces can be found in the collection Hermitage "The Collection of the russian Emperors and Empresses". The Geneva manufacturer Moulinié Freres is known for its watches with beaded trim and stone trim, which are today traded at amateur prices. Especially rare is a specimen with repetition.
