They contain the carbon copies of the scientific letters and texts written by Antoine Breguet. About 300 pp. in-4. Patent filed with Brandon and Morgan Brown rue Lafitte with various additions to this patent."New addition. I also claim the idea of keeping lifting a small column of liquid above the average level of this liquid by means of a metal rod and capillary. When the current that can circulate in the stem and liquid circuit changes in intensity, the lifting fluid column changes in height, so that if a small spring requires the metal rod to separate from the liquid, this rod will be oscillated vertically according to the variations in current intensity. I claim the application of the above described movements of this rod to telephony and telegraphy. I reserve the right to replace the metal rod with a leadage rod [...]" (1878); Cornelius Roosevelt; Gabriel Lippmann, etc. Description of a telegraphic apparatus intended to reproduce the writings and characters remotely and continuously. Notes on the machine by Zenobe Gramme (direct current electric generator (theory, sketches, and machines of this kind, etc.); electric energy conference, etc). There are also numerous scientific letters (in Gaston Tissandier, Léon Léonard Lavallée, Edmond Becquerel, etc) and calculations and equations (weighing, living forces). Directory of names in fine.
