Sir Charles Wolseley 8th Bt (1813-1854) Sir Charles spent much of his life abroad, marrying in 1836 Mary Anne Selby. Sir Charles died young at the age of 41, leaving the estate in the hands of executors as his eldest son was not of age. Father to five sons and a talented wood carver, making many repairs to the alterations his father had made to the Hall personally re-errecting and carving several sections of staircase and fire surrounds.
