Provenance Wojciech Fibak's collection private collection, Warsaw DESA Unicum, 2023 private collection, Poland More information The first works, plaster assemblages of Kierzkowski, were created in 1957. Fascinating. Two important events in the artist's life were received by matter and invoice. First of them were exposed to Darwin and biology. Kierzkowski was preparing the panneau for the exhibition and, as he tells it, he got a glimpse, reaching the biological basis matter. In this contact you can find fascination with perforations and cells, which are visible in the form of assamblages. The second important event in the young creator's life was the trip to Morocco in 1955. As Kierzkowski says: "I saw that the greenery and the outdoors had nothing. in conjunction with Gaugauin, who painted Polynesia so colourfully. There in Africa everything It's burnt, it's gray green, it looks like the whole landscape is covered with sand. The sharp sun turns everything into shiny metal. (Bronisław Kierzkowski, about Bronku Kierzkowski, [red.] Dorota Kierzykowska-Czahorowska, [in:] Bronisław Kierzikowski, Warsaw 2001, p. 2. As Dorota Kierzkowska-Czahorowska adds: Kierzkowski stumbled upon the nameless work of a native. It was a skin that was removed from somebody's skin. animal, where on the left side in grey and yellow, a picture was created painted with his blood. It made such a huge impression on Kierzkowski that even when he stopped in Paris on his way back and watched the works he had gathered there, no could forget about the leather seen in Morocco (About Bronku Kierzkowski, [red.] Dorota Kierzkowska-Czahorowska, [w:] Bronisław Kierźkowski, Warszawa 2001, p. 2). Shortly after this event, the artist began to create plaster works. Fascination Discovered nature and organicity were a source of fascination with matter, which can be freely shape. The creator sank various elements in plaster: pieces of sheet metal, scraps wire, metal mesh elements or open-wall tapes. Demoted objects, often found in a dumpster, under the influence of artistic intervention they change their meaning and become abstract signs. The resulting compositions grow with fascination with the world of nature, remembered desert landscape, frosted Parks and reflections of sunlight playing on objects. This work delights with the multitude and diversity of raw materials, recalling, despite used industrial materials, the world of nature, crawling oblong a tentacle or air bubbles. The works belonging to the cycle are unique objects with the borders of painting and sculptures, enchanting with texture and spatiality, of which the nature changes depending on the sun's rays. The artist uses in them natural light, especially it reflected by pure sheet and color of rust. These. elements in combination with plaster white and grid give fascinating color combinations, creating a unique effect.
