The mold used here, simplified, is characteristic of Pesaro's manufacture (G. Biscontini, Ceramiche Pesero from the eighteenth to the twentieth century, Pesaro-Bologna, 1986, fig. 68, p. 90: also for an analysis of the 'rose' decoration, p. 87 passim), the scholar had further studied the decoration in 1978 (G. Biscontini Ugolini, Further details on the decoration of the ochraceous rose, in 'Rassegna di studi e notizie, Castello Sforzesco', Milan, 1978, p. 133 passim).
