Rev. VICTORIA - AVςי Γ / CONOB Cross potent, on base and three steps, between Heraclius, on the left, and Tiberius, on The right, standing facing and each holding a globe cruciger in his right hand. DOC 1 var, MIB 1b var., and SB 1147 (different obverse legends and unlisted officina). Very rare and unpublished in the standard references. Graffito on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine. While the above legends of solo of this period are often garbled, no examples are published in the standard references with the legends ending in "C COSNS". Instead, coins of this period typically end in "C COS". The exposition is that by this period, the engravers often copied the legends from the later reign solidi of Constantans II with Constantine IV. So the above legend of this coin essentially spells out Constantine (Constans II) and Constantine(Constantine IV). Typically the name of Constantine IV is shortened to just "COS", on this example, the vestigial "NS" is included as well.
