Juncosa, Lleida (Catalonia) 1454-1459. Copies of notarial documents from the Catalan municipality of Juncosa in the province of Lleida in northeastern Spain, which belongs to the Comarca Garrigues. These are mainly sales certificates, the first of which raises: "Noverint universi quod ego bernardo habit[ator] loci junicosse gratis et ex certa [scientia] per me et omnes meos successores praesentes et futuros, vendo tibi, Johannes Estapari (?), dicti loci, iure perpetuo, quandam sortem terrae campive meam cum confrontationibus..." - ("All know that I, Bernardo, inhabitants of the place Juncosa, voluntarily and out of certain knowledge, for me and all my present and future successors, to you, John Estapari (?), from the said place, to eternal right sell a certain piece of my farmland with following limitations... [...]"). Further transcriptions of other, probably later hands follow. – First leaves with luscious edges, the first with flaws (some text loss), occasionally a little stained and with traces of usage, but overall (except for the first more tanned and flaky leaf) well preserved and legible. In the front, an integrated cover maculature with a part of a letter from Paul to the Romans on a fragmentary sheet of a Spanish manuscript of the 14th century. ==References====External links==* Official website
