The title vignette is a work by Augsburg copper engraver Jakob Andreas Friedrich, who count Lanckoronska-Oehler among his "most exciting works": "the dancing couple, crowned with vine leaves and framed by vines and musical instruments, masterfully reflects the anacreontic fiddles of the young Lessing" (p. 39). – A little tanned and flaky.
