OCLC, 8837332. – One of the earliest books published for children to train their minds and morals was created under the influence of Jean-Jacques Rousseau and the didactic philosophy school of France (cf. Welsh). The copper engravings show agricultural scenes in an early romantic ambience. In total, only 16 titles had been published, even this volume is so rare that only a few public libraries own it. – Block loose, minimally tanned, slightly inaccurately trimmed, but otherwise hardly any traces of use.
