Oblate album of a German emigrant girl "Bertha Schoeller". With over 350 chromolithographed oblates of different sizes on 33 Bl. 44.5 x 35 cm. Linen d. C. with gold stamped title and sublime blind imprinted bird illustration on the front cover. Around 1890. Extensive collection of high-quality, color-rich chromolithographed embossed printed oblates with a wide thematic range. Included are portraits of historical personalities such as Otto von Bismarck, Friedrich Wilhelm, Kaiser Wilhelm I, Helmuth von Moltke, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington and Oscar Wilde as well as patriotic representations with eagle motifs and flags. Maritime and nautical scenes show different types of ships - from sailing yachts and schooners to early steamships, including a large-format wheel steamer. Natural leaves show very realistically executed deer and deer, various bird species as well as decorative flower arrangements with roses, lilies, pansy and forget not. In addition, advertising oblates from companies such as F.A.O. Schwarz, Clark and O.N.T. Spool Cotton, Willimantic Thread and M.E. Lang included. – Partly slightly patchy, glued and light bordered on the backing paper. The Oblates are mostly in very good conservation.
