Reiter mit Pferd. Canosa, 3. Jh. v. Chr. L 23,5cm, B 8cm, H 23cm mit Sockel, 20,5cm ohne Sockel. Aus rötlichem Ton mit Resten von weißer Engobe und Bemalung in Blau. Ein behelmter, bärtiger Reiter, den rechten Arm, der ursprünglich ein Attribut hielt, erhoben und den linken Arm nach vorne gestreckt, bekleidet mit einem Halstuch und einem Lendenschurz, reitet im Galopp. Auf seinem Helm ein kleines Loch zur Aufnahme einer Helmzier. Auf dem Kopf des Pferdes ebenfalls eine kleines Loch zur Aufnahme von einem separat gefertigten Kopfputz - eventuell aus anderem Material. Der Reiter ist mit einem Holzstab auf dem Pferd befestigt. Die linke Hand des Reiters fehlt, Attribut der rechten Hand fehlt, Schwanz und alle Füße des Pferdes wiederangesetzt, Helmbusch und Kopfzier des Pferdes fehlen. Made of reddish clay with traces of white engobe and painted in blue. A helmeted, bearded horseman, his right arm raised � which originally held an attribute � and his left arm stretched forward, clad in a neckerchief and a loincloth, is riding at a gallop. There is a small hole in his helmet to accommodate a crest. There is also a small hole on the horse�s head to accommodate a specially made headdress � possibly made of a different material.
