The other, undated and written from Madresfield Court (home to the Lygon family, and inspiration for "Brideshead"), relates to a request from Pryce-Jones for some reminiscences, noting "I like the idea but at the moment can remember nothing of the smallest interest connected with my childhood...", but will try to come up with something, and asking to meet when next in London. Provenance: Alan Pryce-Jones (1908–2000); by descent to the present owner.
