Frau von Schimmelmann studied painting in Oldenburg with Hugo Ziegler. Numerous guests thank in their entries for the hospitality in the house Schimmelmann. Included are three lovely watercolors by Munich painter Willy Hermann, a student of Lovis Corinth. They show the SMS Oldenburg in Wilhelmshaven as well as impressions of the wedding ceremony of his daughter Gudrun with a naval officer in 1919.
