IGI 172.ISTC ia00238000. – The third Venetian edition of the Compendium theologicae veritatis, a "breakdown of theological truth", which was one of the most successful and most read theological textbooks of the late Middle Ages. It is the only edition of Gabriel de Grassis, a reprint of the 1483 edition, published by Gregorius Dalmatinus and Jacobus Britannicus. The Compendium theologicae veritatis is usually attributed to the Cologne church teacher Albertus Magnus (1200-1280), but it is more likely that it comes from his student Hugo Ripelin of Strasbourg (1205-1270). Like Albertus himself, Ripelin became one of the pioneers of Christian-interpreted aristotelianism in the high Middle Ages. With the Compendium he presented a floor plan of scholastic theology, which up to the early modern times belonged to the most frequently copied and from 1470 also often printed works of the scholistic-theological doctrine. – The first white sheet (a1) with hs.
