"His descriptions and his woodcuts, which he gave in the 'New Creuterbuch' ... of the German plants, are ... mostly more detailed and true to nature than those of his predecessors" (ADB). – The numbered leaves I-V and CCCLI-CCCLII are missing. Purpose with several hs. Possession note and title mounted on paper and with red possession stamp (unreadable). Several sides with reinforced edges, cracks and flaws as well as brown- and fingerspots.
