Woodcut map from three segments. 25 x 101 cm (display). ==References== The most beautiful Rheinlaufkarte from the early 17th century. ==Population==In the 19th century, published as three separate bibliographies in Sebastian Münster's Cosmographey, this is a description of all countries (Basel 1614; cf. Graesse IV, 622). Thus, the individual segments are overtitled: "The first table keeping the Schweytzerlandt, with the approaching countries" - "The other table of the Rheinstrom, grasping the Pfaltz, Westerreich, Eyfel, etc.", "The third table of Rheinstromm, keeping the Nider Teutschlandt". The Rhine is depicted from its source to the mouth in a western arrangement, i.e. horizontally from the Swiss mountains to the left via Chur, Lake Constance, Basel, Strasbourg, Speyer, Mainz, Koblenz, Bonn, Cologne, Düsseldorf to the Netherlands to Rotterdam. Upstairs are five elongated, flat and at the bottom right a rectangular cartouche with descriptive text. Verso the three typographical titles "Die erste Tafel...", "Die ander Tafel", "Die dritte Landtafel des Rheinstroms". – With several folds, tanned due to paper, with small brown spots and flaws as well as tiny cracks.
