The Institutiones oratoriae is the most important and most widely preserved manual of ancient oratory art, written by Quintilian during his tenure as the first state-owned teacher of rhetoric in Rome. With the valuable edition philological commentary of the humanist scholar Raffaele Regio (1450-1520) from Padua, in which he made the first text-critical change to Quintilian's text. – A text sheet is missing.
