Adams II, 877. – Second edition of the famous tournament book with the beautiful woodcuts of Duke John II of Pfalz-Simmern (1492-1557) first published in 1530. 36 tournaments are described, held in different cities of Germany and Switzerland, with mention of all persons involved, which is of great importance for the genealogy of the German nobility and for the heraldry. "Rüxner [is] the author of the multi-proclaimed writing 'Start, Origin and Coming of the Thurnier in Teutscher Nation' (Simmern 1530), which by its fabulous, Lugnerische information in the area of genealogy has caused so much harm" (ADB XXX, 62). – Title with hs.
