Enlightenment and refutation of the so-called knowledge, which is handed down under the Latin title Adversus haereses ("Against the heresies"), by the Franciscan François Feuardent (1539-1610), concerned edition of the five books.It is one of the most important sources for the knowledge of Gnosticism. The early Christian church father Irenaeus (c. 135-c. 200) came from Smyrna in Asia Minor and worked as a bishop in Lyon, he is considered one of the first systematic theologians of Christianity. The Parisian preacher François Feuardent is considered a fervent advocate of the Catholic League and wrote numerous Bible commentary and polemical works against Calvinism. – First location with slippery track in the side section, initially with faded moisture margins, title with crush folds in the lower right corner.
