Volume I contains the buildings of the city of Brandenburg and the Altmark, Volume II of the Priegnitz, Mittelmark, Ukermark and Neumark. The first volume was published as the "Supplement-Edition zur Zeitschrift für Bauwesen". The original design, which had been published in twelve deliveries since 1859, also included the provinces, Silesia, Pomerania and Prussia. The excellent panels show floor plans (scale 1:240), facades and cuts (1:120) as well as details (1:30). Adler (1827-1908) is regarded as the "main representative of the Nachschinkel-Schule" (Ribbe-Schäche 597) or as "main representatives of the Berliner Rundbogenstil" (Grund). From 1863 he was a professor at the Bauakademie, since 1877 he worked as a building councillor in the Ministry of Commerce and has especially emerged with church buildings and villas in Berlin and the surrounding area. He also participated in the excavations in Olympia and built the Antiquity Museum there. – Binding with a small brand of the publishing bookstore, printing house and bookbinding by Albert Wilhelm Kafemann (1819-1891), one of the most important publishers in Gdansk at that time. There are missing complete titles and pretitles to Volume I. Slightly patchy, some text sheets slightly browned. Tables slightly circumcised, occasionally small loss of text legends.
