The present "Troisième partie" contains numerous illustrations of bridges, the most exciting and interesting theme of the four parts, after all, the work served as an important basis for industrial architecture, which celebrated its first great successes already between 1775 and 1779 with Thomas Farnoll's Pritchard's famous Severn Bridge in Ironbridge, England. The present work thus becomes the documentation of the earliest industrial architecture. Johann Karl Krafft (1764-1833) was a German architect and engraver.
