Eduard Linse (1848-1902) studied at the TH in Aachen and built the Burtscheid Kurhaus (1889) as well as the private palace presented here for the Cassalette family (1892). Today, the Suermondt-Ludwig Museum is located here. Linse is considered the most important representative of historical architecture in Aachen. The plates after drawings and photographs show above all the sumptuous interior decoration, as well as the facade, floor plans and details. Table 59ff. are counted as chromolithographed double panel and represent the magnificent ceiling ceilings in the style of the neo-renaissance.
