Rarely only edition of the architectural monograph on the so-called elliptical arch style, as the architect and drawing teacher Wilhelm Tappe (1769-1823) from Lüdenscheid called the semi-sphere-shaped building type developed by him in clay construction and which unfortunately had little success; a prototype built in the neighboring Hiddenen failed and was broken off. Tappe was also the author of one of the first German art history. Complete copy with the rare final issue No. VIII. – Some plates slightly browned due to paper. Nice and well preserved specimen.
