The first edition was published a year earlier. "The handsome volume contains much more than the title promises. In addition to detailed topographical information, there are valuable contributions from the history of the Saxon prince with special emphasis on family festivities; also the cultural history is abundantly represented" (ADB). The copper shows, among other things, several magnificent overall views, buildings, plans, and seals. The copper title comes from Johann Alexander Boener (1647-1720). Six of the last leaves contain monthly tabularly arranged "Dresdnischer Geschichts-Calender". The pagination jumps from page 242 to page 245 and from page 248 back to page 247. – Without the almost always missing sheet "List of all those coppers" and the portrait of Johann Georg II, Duke of Saxony. Sculpted title narrowly trimmed and mounted on paper. Internal joint at the title open, overall slightly brown- and finger-spotty, with numerous hs. Notes in the text and a few wormholes and tiny marginal lesions.
