Ludwigsburg, Edition Libri illustri, 1992. The 'Ulmer Aesop' is one of the most important editions of the fables of the ancient author Aes Op in the history of book art. It was published around 1476 by the Ulm humanist and translator Heinrich Steinhöwel and contains over 550 pages of over 190 coloured woodcuts. These are attributed to Jörg Syrlin the Elder. – Well-preserved.
