Violet OSamtband over wooden lids with 14 gilded silver fittings and 2 gilt closures with 2 decorative buttons made of lapis lazuli and 4 heart-shaped closing fittings made of solid silver with ornaments in Niello technique, 8 ornamental stones made of rose quartz and 2 large vaulted lapislazuli precious stones on the lids in diamond-shaped, gilt leaf frame, three-sided punctured Gold cut or rich gold-embossed OSamt cover, together in wooden OSamt cassette equipped with chiffon (lightly dusted), on the lid inserted silver coat of arms of the Medici with enamel inclusion or OSamt tape with gold-embroidered back and cover title. According to the additional title, it was meant for women. Francesco Rosselli was very likely entrusted with the equipment of the book of hours.
