Anne de Bretagne (1477-1514) was Queen of France and Duchess of Brittany. During the Italian campaigns of Louis XII, she was the official regent of France in his absence. The Prayer Book, which dates from 1492 to 1495, begins with the Lord's Prayer, Ave Maria and the Apostolic Creed.
